Granny Spiration Challenge April 2017 (Part IV)

Wow! This is the fourth post of the year for the 2017 GrannySpiration Challenge! I am so excited because I’m hosting the challenge as from now on too. I am curious to see what everyone has been working on! At the end of this post, you will find the information for this month's giveaway, and link up.

Please make sure to stop by our other co-host and see what they've been working on too.

What did I make recently? Well, I was suffering from cold hands despite the weather. So I made myself some mittens.

It is my own design but this time without fingers.

As I intend to blog in Dutch (www.recycleandcreate.com), English (www.recycleandcreateinenglish.blogspot.com) and German (www.recycleandcreateingerman.blogspot.com) I want to translate the pattern in English and German too. It will happen within a week, I promise. In the meantime you can find the Dutch (free) version here:
Please note there will be some time in between the blogs in the other two languages.

Because I have so much fun making it I made an extra pair;

How they look like when you wear them?

Granny-Spiration Challenge 2017 – March (Part III)

Because I get energy from blogging and also from grannies (just by looking at them already), I do write a blog and as I understood that I can still join until 16 March. Well, you only have to tell me that once. I will join!!

But with what? Well I made some crocheted glasses to put on the table, you know those ones, but than different. :D

I made 2 grannies with hook 5 and sewed them together. On top of that I crocheted some double crochet, take a chord and finished!

Doll's Day: Take care of your whiskers

It has been almost a month ago that I wrote a doll’s day blog. Time flies!!!

Although I like to write about Carnival I can’t at the moment. Therefore an other doll’s day blog. I hope to write about Carnival the coming week, the dolls were having a lot of fun.

I like making articles my own way. And while I saw Rocky I had the idea to make a nice Tea hat….

A while ago I broke our teapot. I didn’t do it on purpose, because I liked the teapot very much.
I like drinking tea  from a teapot. During our holidays we went to IKEA and our daughter found a new one right away. Because I was afraid I would break the teapot sooner or later we bought the cheapest one. It is a functional teapot (read: I don’t like the design).

Luckily they say in Dutch: cloth make the men. In this case too althoug this is of course no man :D
While making pictures the whiskes weren’t on Catty’s face. I knew there was something missing.. until I saw Poekie!
IMG_9415.JPG

Catty Teahat was made out of an sleeve of my hoody. Just fold it, crochet the pieces of its face and Catty is born! Then a nice tale and I’m very proud. Do you like it?

theemuts.JPG

And a close-up:
closeup kattie.JPG

Now I’m curious: did you ever make something out of your old clothes? A doll or maybe an awesome teahat?

Is there any amigurumi news? Yes there is!

There is a CALPadje the fly agaric.

Granny Spiration II: my creak shopping bag

Time flies and I should hurry up posting my latest 'Granny Spiration'! Thank you so much for sharing your creations on our first Granny Spiration!

Like last month there is a linking party with give away but first I want to show you my creak shopping bag:

IMG_7375.JPG

Ahm, I was having some fun while I wrote this blog and I put grandma monkey (Elmo Monkey's Grandma...) next to me ;-)
IMG_7277.JPG

This is a plastic shopping bag with a jacket of 4 coloured grannies, combined with stitches on the side.
IMG_7321.JPG

I had 2 pockets left from my old jeans which I put on the side of an old pillowcase. Practical for your keys, your wallet or your handy!

IMG_7318.JPG

I love to recycle stuff and combining it with crocheting!

IMG_7317.JPG

Have you ever recycled a plastic shopping bag?

I made this one earlier and described how I made it: http://recycleandcreateinenglish.blogspot.com/2016/07/the-creak-shopping-bag.html

IMG_7332.JPG

Concerning the linkparty, bloghop and giveaway.. I copy paste the text from Kat Kat Katoen ...https://katkatkatoen.blogspot.com

And now back to the linkparty, bloghop and giveaway!

You can link up your projects on http://eyeloveknots.blogspot.co.uk/ and see what she has created.
You can link up your creations from some time ago, it doesn't have to be something you made only recently, and it doesn't have to be something with granny squares as long as it's inspired by granny squares.
To enter the giveaway, you need the rafflecopter.
This month there are 2 skeins of Yarn Bee's Andres Alpaca Yarn.
These are the blogs to visit to see more Granny Spiration:

I´m curious what the other participants made. You too?
Tomorrow it´s Friday!!!. Another nice blog and this weekend I will read the blogs from the other blogwriters after this busy week.

Love
Mariam

Doll's Day

Last week I was soo busy with the preparations of my new business, Mariam’s Lifestyle (a blog about events, seminars, masterclasses and the way of selling of a business) that I didn’t have time to write a Doll’s Day blog. I love to write Doll’s Day blogs, as much as I like the read the blogs, which I will catch up this week.

The doll’s were very busy in our house. April the Frog a design from Angel’s Crochet (https://www.facebook.com/angelscreationscrochet) heard about Tammy the Circusmouse. She thought, I want to do what Tammy does. So April’s sitting next to Ms Mouse. Fortunately these two aren’t that heavy so the lamp can handle the weight :).
IMG_9403.JPG

IMG_9402.JPG

Tammy Circusmouse was unstoppable last time. While I was still busy writing the blogs she screamed outside the house: wooohooo

Tammy Zirkusmaus 2.jpg

I stay here!!!! (can you become angry at such a sweet mouse?)

Tammy Zirkusmaus 3.jpg

The butterfly caught her attention….
Tammy Zirkusmaus.jpg

But before I knew she was inside the house again and screamed woohoo again!

She sat in the lamp!!!
Tammy Zirkusmaus 4.JPG

Haha, silly Tammy, you have your hands full on such a circusmouse. I don’t bother at all.

IMG_9401.JPG

You might want to crochet this nice mouse too. You can buy her pattern. I attach the link to Schlappohrhund Wuppertal’s Facebookpage, she is the designer, because she has soo many awesome patterns, you have to see those!

Dolls day newsflash

This time there is some news. As from 8 March there will be a CAL “Michelle” from  Adrienne Verstraten on the Facebookgroup Amigurumi haken met Adrienne (https://www.facebook.com/groups/120869844976522/?fref=ts)
michelle.jpg
Like I always say: go and become member!

Sabrina Somers (sabrinasomers.com) is busy writing a book and needs our help by choosing the names of here wonderful creations:

Doll's Day: two German Tammys

Yes, the Tammys are (almost) ready.

Tammy von Knuddelhausen is leaving usIMG_9200.JPG
Today I will finish off Tammy von Knuddelhausen from Bettys-Simm Salabim. She will travel to a seriously ill girl. I saw a post on Facebook and I wanted to send her a card. Tammy sat on my lap. Because she has eyes now she read the post too and suddenly she shouted: I want to go to Britt. Of course I agreed! If you would like to send her a card too: https://www.facebook.com/www.eenglimlachdoetwonderen.nl/photos/a.567503759988760.1073741829.567463603326109/1345532275519234/?type=3&theater This is the address: Kanjer Britt, De Ping 2, 6361AR Nuth

I gave her a hat she can take off, two ears and a mouth, so she can play during the whole year with Tammy.
Would you like to crochet Tammy von Knuddelhausen too? You can buy the pattern here: http://www.mypatterns.de/haekeln/tammi-aus-knuddelhausen-2255.html

Tammy Zirkusmaus (Circus Mouse)
Tammy isn’t finished yet, but wenn she heard that Tammy von Knuddelhausen was going to leave us she screamed: "I want to make pictures with Tammy, she is my friend. I can think of her. Of course you can! And by the way I couldn’t write a Doll’s Day blog otherwise.

IMG_9237.JPG

IMG_9238.JPG

I hope to finish Tammy Circus Mouse this week, because as you might have noticed: she can hardly wait to show us her acrobatic tricks:
IMG_9239.JPG

Would you like to crochet Tammy from Schlappohrund Wuppertal. You can Tammy’s pattern here: http://www.mypatterns.de/haekeln/haekelanleitung-tammy-maus-zirkusmaus-2736.html

Furthermore I don’t have any news for this week.

Thank you for reading and I hope to see you next time!

Much love
Mariam

GRANNY SPIRATION KICK OFF recycle your shopping bag

I saw an awesome challenge at Kat Kat Katoen’s blog (https://katkatkatoen.blogspot.nl/2017/01/granny-spiration-kick-off-granny-canvas.html) : the  bloghop/link up/give away 'Granny Spiration Challenge'! You have to post a granny inspired piece of work and then you will link your own granny-project. You can win something with it! How does it work? Go to:

My first blog for the challenge: I pimped my shopping bag. I found the  bag a little boring. So I crocheted 3 grannies. It is the Summer Garden Granny square (http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/summer-garden-granny-square.html)

tas pimpen.jpg

The grannies are made with light blue Babysoft, the pink and purple Sparkle and dark blue Royal, all Zeeman yarn.

The grannies are sewn on the bag with the sewing machine.

Have you ever pimped a bag?
